Deviled Pork Chops

This has turned into my favorite marinade for my pork chops. Hot and mustardy.

  • 1 or 2 pork chops
  • 2 Tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 Tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ cup fresh basil or 1 Tablespoons dried
  • ¼ teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Step 1

Whisk together mustard, olive oil, basil, ground pepper, and cayenne. Place mustard mixture and chops in Ziploc bag and marinade the chops for one hour.

Step 2

Brush the grill rack lightly with oil. Sear chops over high heat, 1 minute per side, including edges. Cook covered, with vents open, over medium high heat for 8 minutes. Turn, cook another 8 minutes. When done, instant read thermometer will read 165 (any higher will result in dry, tough chops).
